A loving home to great stories, good conversation and homemade cake.
What we do
Our family-run bookstore and board game cafe is located in the heart of Urmston, Manchester.
Books
To browse and buy
Browse our curated selection of books in our bookshop, handpicked by our family, and friends. Don’t see anything you like? We’ll order any book in for you, and get to know your personal favourites so we can make recommendations that are personal, tailored for you and far better than any algorithm.
Bakes
Homemade daily
We love cakes, and all of our own are homemade. As with everything we do, we serve a small but perfectly formed selection of sweet treats, and are more than happy to take special requests and suggestions for regulars coming through the door or for advance orders.
Board Games
Cafe and library
We convene table top gamers of every age and experience in our friendly, informal board game cafe/room. You can enjoy a wide selection of board games with family and friends, and learn to play a variety of well loved favourites in our dedicated sessions and events.
Brews
Because who doesn't love them?
Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea in our cosy cafe area or as you relax with a board game or book. It's the perfect accompaniment to our homemade cakes, and is available to take away as well if you're on the go.
